Essentials #5
Wow.Endless possabilities for google docs. I am not sure how I would use this with my own classroom but I can see how useful it would be with my peers right now as we are gathering data for NCA accredidation. I can't wait to show it to my staff.
I read an interesting blog today by someone else who did their google doc and it sounded interesting to me. However, I have no idea how to access his/her google doc. Hopefully that will be explained to us by the techies.

I had my first call today using skype. Very neat!!

  1. Google Docs are something that someone has to "allow" you the privilege to see or edit. I just used Google Docs in my building to create a survey about tech PD. I created the questions and sent out the link. The great thing is that it takes the results of the people that respond and then compiles it in an Excel(Google version) and then you can view the results on one sheet or in the summary format. Here is a link from Youtube that shows how to create it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gwQ4KAIykq4 I would probably use it to take a parent survey or have students answer questions about something that is being taught in class. This would give you immediate feedback. You could just create a link on your teacher site and have your students or parents find it there.
