I have spent several hours reading educational blogs. I did not realize how much great info is being published on the internet. It does get confusing at times as you follow one link to another than try to navigate back where you came from but I think I am getting the hang of it. I found this one blog that I thought others might be interested in. It is free resources ( fun internet resources for students, Check it out!.

I love reading to my class and I often read the books they are reading but my tastes don't always match theirs. I read a blog written by a teacher that had a similiar problem. She said that she when she broke down and read 'The Lightening Thief" she found she enjoyed it. She gives some suggestions regarding reccommended reading for 4-5th grade students, too. Her information is found in a blog written by a group of teachers. I plan on returning the site.http://readingyear.blogspot.com

You found some wonderful blogs to follow! Thanks so much for posting them to share with others!! There is so much on the web...I am continually amazed and thankful that so many educators are willing to share their best practices.
ReplyDeleteI suggest you keep these blog authors in mind when you get to the Twitter unit...I saw that the A Year of Reading blog listed their Twitter names way down at the bottom of the blog.
Great job!!
